"COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS: Count your blessings.” - 6-13-21
As we worship together "from house to house," we are excited to join our hearts and minds together to give God the glory as a church family in multiple places.
If you cannot join us this Sunday, we invite you to sing along with the worship videos. We encourage you to take the Lord’s Supper. In this way, we can take communion together even though we are apart. Pray for one another. Watch my message, “COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS: Count Your Blessings.” Respond to the invitation. Enjoy the bonus video.
WORSHIP
COMMUNION
Read Matthew 26:26-29 NLT, “As they were eating, Jesus took some bread and blessed it. Then he broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, “Take this and eat it, for this is my body.” And he took a cup of wine and gave thanks to God for it. He gave it to them and said, “Each of you drink from it, for this is my blood, which confirms the covenant between God and his people. It is poured out as a sacrifice to forgive the sins of many. Mark my words—I will not drink wine again until the day I drink it new with you in my Father’s Kingdom.”” Here is a communion prayer to say before you take the bread and the juice, “Father, we are grateful for the blessing of Jesus’ body and blood, the precious gift that gives us life. We remember his pain for our forgiveness. We look forward to the day we are gathered in the Father’s Kingdom. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
Take the Lord's Supper.
PRAYER
Pray for our hearts as we respond to the blessings of God. Pray that we might be a blessing to others.
MESSAGE
CHALLENGE
Write down 3 ways God bears your burdens daily. Write down 2 needs God has met this week. Write down 1 spiritual blessing in Christ that you cherish most. Acknowledge God’s blessings.
INVITATION
It is our custom to offer an "invitation" following the preaching of the Word at Kenwood Church. You may want to follow Jesus. You may want to proclaim your faith. You may want to repent (stop doing ungodly things and start doing Godly things). Perhaps you want to be baptized for the forgiveness of your sins and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Possibly, if you have already responded to God’s call in these way, you would like to become a member of Kenwood Church. If you have been moved by the Holy Spirit to make a decision in your life, I encourage you to speak with me via phone (248-476-8222) or an email (toddlackie@kenwoodchurch.org). I would be honored to speak with you about what God is doing in your life and try to connect you with a community of faith in your area.
