War Room - How You Pray (a blog post for a sermon to be preached at Kenwood Church, Livonia, MI on April 24, 2016)

God is wearing me out.  You know how people say you should never pray for patience.  Perhaps you should never preach about prayer.

I have needed to keep myself in prayer more the last month than ever before.  Life is hard.  Decisions are difficult.  Sickness has kept me down.  Satan is attacking viciously.

Thank you, Jesus, for teaching us how to pray.

9“This, then, is how you should pray:
“ ‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11Give us today our daily bread.
12And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.
                (Matthew 9:9-13 NIV)
